My skin type is very oily and sensitive, which means I have to be extremely cautious about the food that I eat and the products that I use on my skin. I’ve also experienced issues with blackheads/whiteheads, acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. After years of trial and error, as well as actively visiting a dermatologist and getting periodic facials, I have finally developed a skin care routine that works well for me. My skin isn’t perfect by any means, but I believe that the products I use help to keep all my skin issues under control.

I wrote a blog post related to skincare a couple years ago that lists some of my favorite products/tools for happy, healthy glowing skin. Feel free to check that out here. Since then, I have switched up my skincare game a bit, so I wanted to give an update on my current skincare routine featuring my must-have, go-to products. This routine is a quick, 5 step, simple, easy process that I do every morning and night. My breakouts are now few and far between, the texture of my skin is even, hydrated and doesn’t produce an excessive amount of oil. Seriously, these products have done wonders for my skin and I have to share it with you.

Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist nor do I have the expertise or credentials that would make me a reliable source for your individual skincare needs. These are merely my opinions of products that worked for me personally. Please do your own research and contact your local skincare professionals to address any additional issues you have related to your skin.

For my visual learners out there, I put together a short video that showcases the products that I use and how I apply them to my face. I’ve also listed and linked the products below for those who want to make a purchase. Some of the products are cost effective, while others are more expensive, but I promise you, the total investment is worth it!

Also, please remember: whether or not your skin is where you want it to be, always love the skin you’re in! Skincare is lifestyle, not a quick fix. You have to invest in yourself by taking care of your body, including your skin. I can guarantee, especially with skincare, the smallest changes in your daily routine can give you the best results!
